I am aware that this subject was raised previously - but no real solution was come to.

I went walking this weekend with my grandson, we went to Patching up past the church. Views up here are amazing and the fungi we spotted were a real treat for him to see. We watched a few men do some ferreting - a past time I used to do - my grandson thought this was great. We walked close to a herd of cows and a "buffalo" as tiny described it. We entered the woods and had a drink from our bag then spent a while collecting chestnuts (cooked and eaten within 15 mins of getting back home)
We walked a fair distance then returned to the van for the short trip home.
What a way to spend a Sunday morning - could have posted this on the "Good Points" or "Happy Page" part of this site - HOWEVER - the number of times we got dog mess on our shoes was uncountable.
It is a great walk for all and dogs must love it up there all that open space - but please dog owners have a thought for others - pick up your pets mess.
I know that I will get the " I always pick up after my dog" answers but honestly - the majority of owners obviously do not when they may feel no one is watching. Hundreds of piles of mess back this up.

Hi,

Was back at Patching at the weekend and was really pleased to see a dramatic decrease in the amount of dog mess up there.
Thanks to all dog owners that seem to have cleaned up after their pets.
A great walk, made better.

Edited due to spelling issue.
