The CC advertises :
"OUR FIRST FILM SHOW --- Everybody's fine!
Come and see recent release Everybody's fine! at the Community Centre.Tickets--£5.00 available"

The film was actually released generally for cinemas in December 2009 & the DVD on 28/6/2010 - retailing at Amazon for £8.94 & available for rental for a couple of pounds.
The CC charge of £5 per person therefore seems rather excessive particularly when the Picturedrome at Bognor charges £2.50 Mon-Fri & £3.50 Sat & Sun.for up to date films.

It's not really that bad when you consider that you are comparing the CC to a company with massive buying power (but, as you point out, still cheaper to watch at the CC than buy) and businesses that specialise, and if you take in to account mileage and parking costs to rent, e.g. from Blockbuster Littlehampton, or watch elsewhere, e.g. in a cinema in Bognor Regis that involves a 22 mile round trip, you're quids in.

Plus it's not just a night at the flicks, it's a social event. If it's run the same as the films were at the village hall there's an interval with refreshments - probably costing a bit more than MacDonalds would charge mind - where you can chat with your friends and make new ones.
