The new footpath/cycle path has made walking/cycling from Bramley Green to the A259 a lot easier but the grass verges on either side are now getting so overgrown that they are encroaching on the footpath.

Why are they not cut at the same time as the grass around the skate park / pond for example?

Are they being left to overgrow to such an extent that the large amounts of litter that are dropped along this path (and not cleared regularly)are covered by the long grass??

Hello Mr. C.

I am pretty sure that the bit of footpath you are referring to belongs to W.Sussex and doesn't come under the same 'deal' as the grass around the skatepark, which is managed by the PC.

I know this probably all sounds a bit crazy but I will get the office to check in the morning and put in a request to W.Sussex to get it cleared.

Hope that helps a bit

Perhaps they could clear the grass off the hidden footpath along the A259, from the Station Road roundabout up to Haskins whilst they're at it?

It was good to see this morning that the grass verges alongside this path have at last been cut. It's a shame that the area was left in such a mess though. Most of the grass that was cut is now strewn across the path, along with the brambles, nettles and rubbish that had built up in the long grass!!!
