I walked to the post office this morning around 10.30 and as I was passing the church there seemed to be so many people gathering for a funeral and everywhere I looked there was someone wearing black making their way towards the church.
I was just wondering if anyone knows who the service was for as they were obviously very popular and much loved and well known to many.
This funeral was a Celebration for the life of John Hunter who, for several years, lived on The Dell with his wife and three daughters. A man of strong faith who had struggled bravely with leukaemia and was a great encourager and friend to many people, in this village and in the locality. He will be greatly missed.
