Proposed Community Hub - Consultation

Angmering Parish Council (APC) is poised to embark on an exciting and transformative project. Their project aims to create a vibrant and inclusive building, alongside the Angmering Community Centre, to create a community hub that serves our whole village. The new building will house a youth centre, meeting room, café and council office and will provide welcoming spaces that foster connection, support civic engagement, and enhance the well-being of all residents.

APC will be holding a Public Consultation at the Angmering Community Centre on Monday 30 September 2024 between 4pm and 8pm, where you will be able to view all the draft plans and provide your feedback. Othe Public Consultation sessions will be held in the Parish Council Office on Thursday 10 October and Wednesday 30 October - 9am to 7pm.

APC make the following comments on the proposed new facilities:

"The new council offices will streamline our operations, making it easier for residents to access essential services and participate in civic activities. By improving the space for administrative functions and being accessible to all, we aim to improve efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness within our parish. We will also be able to free up a shop space within the village. The meeting room will provide a flexible venue for public meetings, community events, and workshops, fostering greater civic participation and collaboration. This space will be instrumental in bringing together residents, local organisations, and stakeholders to address community issues and celebrate collective achievements. The café will act as a social hub, offering a comfortable and inviting setting for residents to gather, relax, and engage with one another. It will also serve as a platform for local entrepreneurs and cultural activities, contributing to the vibrancy and economic vitality of our parish."

The new complex will almost double the size of the Community Centre and will utilise some greenspace land to its west with landscaped gardens and additional car parking.
