Information Board to record church's history

Angmering in Bloom (AIB) have produced an Information Board, to be erected in St Nicholas' Gardens, which describes the history of the Saxon Church which once stood there, and the archaeological dig in 2015 which exposed the Church's foundations. Many villagers, including children, were involved with that project.

The Information Board will be officially unveiled on Wednesday 11 August at 10.00am in St Nicholas' Gardens which are accessible from entrances behind The Lamb and the Library. Members of the public are invited to come along to the unveiling.

AIB will be joined by a team from the Worthing Archaeological Society headed by Amie Friend who led the 2015 excavation, who will give a short talk and answer any questions. Some artefacts will be on display from both St Nicholas Gardens' and various digs undertaken in the Worthing area.
