Things you may need to know over the Christmas / New Year Holiday period

Refuse and Recycling Collections

Your usual Wednesday, Thursday and Collections will ONE DAY LATER than your normal day over the Christmas and New Year period. Usual Monday and Tuesday collections will not change. Collections will return to normal on Monday 6 January 2020.

Garden Waste collections will be suspended from Monday 23 December and will recommence on Monday 6 January.

Shops and Services

Shops and services openings in Angmering (+ Sainsbury's and Aldi) will, of course, be limited over the Christmas/New Year holiday. Here are a few opening times:

Police Report: 09 December to 15 December 2019

- Downs Way - between 07:00pm on Wednesday 11 December and 06:00am on Thursday 12 December a garage has been broken into and two electric bikes have been taken. Serial 0242 14/12

Traders' Night - Wednesday 4 December - 6pm to 9pm

Don't forget that all roads in and out of the village centre will be closed to vehicular traffic from about 5pm to 9pm. Here are the evenings' attractions:

LIBRARY - usual book sale and refreshments

CHURCH - luxury hot chocolate and mince pies. Crafts for all and music.

FUNFAIR - around green and village centre - CANDY FLOSS AND HOT CHESTNUTS.

CLOUDBERRY - browse through all the amazing clothes and party wear. Not forgetting their perfumes and creams. Pop in to find out about their super Christmas Giveaway.

JEFFREY'S HAIDRESSERS - several charity stalls including sale of lavender bags for St.Barnabas, Barbara Heppenstall selliing her hand made wares on behalf of Marie Curie. Plus Amazing Amanda raising money for the village boxing day buffet.

MEAT IN THE SQUARE - closed but Guiding Group will be raising funds with a lucky dip outside.

TEA IN THE SQUARE - will have hot chocolate and seasonal foods.

BIG FRY- Hot fish and chips, or a battered sausage to keep you warm on what will be a cold evening.

COOPER ADAMS - massive tombola of 100 prizes, including a new laptop from Cooper Adams, a luxury Waitrose hamper from Butts ,an amazing gift pack from Jeffreys, Large crystal bowl from Margaux David, many vouchers including - Cloudberry : Tea in the Square : Meat in the Square : The Lamb : Angmering Framing :

JUNA - Festive cheer with good company and lots of gifts to browse. Buy your Christmas tree here and get the decorations as well.

MAVERICKS - will be offering some festive cheer and welcoming customers.

BUTTS - pop in and say hello to the 'boys and girls' in the office and share a festive drink and possibly some snacks.

ANGMERING FRAMING & STITCHES -pop in for a mince pie or sausage roll, various snacks and a glass of wine or fruit juice. Browse around all the various giftware for all ages

EMPIRE ENVIRONMENT (at the back of Angmering Framing) - amazing Santa Grotto, starting at 5pm to give the little ones a chance to see S anta before bedtime.

PARISH COUNCIL - will be making melted snowman biscuits. Refreshments also available.

THE LAMB AT ANGMERING - Pop in for a glass of cheer and warm yourself by the roaring fire.
