On a cold but dry evening, nearly 200 people turned out yesterday (Friday) to participate in Angmering Parish Council's ceremony of turning on the Christmas lights in The Square, tying memory tags to the wonderfully lit Christmas tree, and singing carols and listening to poems. The event was conducted by the chairman of the Council, Cllr John Oldfield.
To keep out the cold, The Lamb donated non-alcoholic mulled wine, while Meat in the Square and Tea in the Square donated sausauge rolls and mince pies respectively.
Come and hang your Memory Tag on the Christmas tree in The Square on Friday 29 November at 6.00pm and enjoy some mulled wine (non-alcoholic) and mince pies kindly donated by The Lamb pub and Tea in The Square.
