It is understood that the opening of the new Aldi supermarket on Manor Retail Park, west of Chandlers BMW along the Rustington By-pass (A259), is anticipated on Thursday 11 May 2017.
West Sussex County Council (WSCC) has approved finances for the expansion of two Angmering Schools. This will allow the admission numbers of The Angmering School in Greenwood Drive, Station Road, to increase from 252 places to nine forms of entry (270 places) per year. Additionally, the admission numbers at St Wilfrid’s Catholic Primary School in Arundel Road, will increase from 20 places to 30 places a year.
Upholding the Neighbourhood Plan Policies - Judicial Review
The Vice-Chairman stated that this was a live subject and that he believed it should be dealt with confidentially. It was unanimously AGREED that this item would be moved to the end of the meeting where a confidential briefing could be made.
Traffic Management Scheme
Consultation had now been complete and a large number of responses had been received, both on-line and on paper. It looked likely that a report would have to be considered by JEAAC in July before the final go-ahead could be given, subject to the responses being analysed in the meantime.
Palmer Road Playing Field
The recommendation of the CLEW Committee to support the maintenance work on the football pitches and to make an overall budget of £10,000 to achieve this over the next twelve months was proposed by Councillor Mountain and seconded by Councillor Bicknell. This was unanimously AGREED.
