A 20-year old woman was pushed to the ground and had her bag stolen as she walked to work. The woman was walking in Station Road, Angmering at around 6am this morning (Friday) when a Vauxhall Vectra saloon drew up alongside her. One of the passengers in the car got out, pushed her to the ground and snatched her bag containing credit cards, cash, and an mp3 player. Police officers quickly arrested a 21-year old man, two boys aged 15 and 16, and a 31-year old woman from an East Preston address on suspicion of robbery. (source: The Argus)
A tender from the East Preston station of the West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service was called out to two separate incidents in Angmering yesterday evening.
The first occurred just after 7.00pm after two cars had been in collision on the A259 outside the Roundstone PH. First aid was given to the driver of one of the cars for a possible chest injury arising from an airbag's deployment - the man was left with ambulance paramedics. One of the cars had left the scene by the time the F&RS arrived. The police were also in attendance.
The second incident occurred at about 8.20pm on the A259 by Windmill Bridge where the F&RS were required to extinguish a fire of some 3 sq. metres of deep seated pine needles.

Angmering Village Market will be held again this Summer - its fifth year - on Saturday 14 August at Fletcher's Field, Arundel Road (next to the Church) between 9.30am and 2.00pm.
Baird's Farm Shop from Clymping will be there this year selling their excellent cakes, bread and pastries. Other popular stalls return including Rustington WI Market, fruit and vegetables from Angmering Allotment Society, award-winning sausages from O'Hagen's (Chichester), beers from Hammerpot Brewery, and wines and ciders from the Iron Railway Vinyard (Surrey) and Highdown Vineyard. You'll be able to sample some of these products.
You will also be able to pick up bargains and unusual items from the large variety of Craft Stalls including: Jewellery, Cards, House Signs, Baby Clothes, Art Work, Bags, Textiles ...and much more.
