Listing the incumbents of the parish of Angmering
is somewhat more difficult than other parishes as, until about 1580, Angmering
as we know it today was comprised of three separate parishes - East and West
Angmering, and Bargham up in the woods to the north. After that date, East
Angmering church (St Nicholas) was demolished as was the church at Bargham
(name unknown but possably St Freyans). All three parishes thereafter were
combined with West Angmering Church (St Margaret's) which survives and thrives
today.
