It looks like the police are belatedly going to take action on drivers making right hand turns out of left hand lanes at roundabouts! Coming over the Windmill Bridge this morning stuck behind the usual line of inconsiderate chancers I noticed the police sign specifically stating that this stunt is not OK. Whilst the sign would be better where the left hand lane is, it may get some motoring basics through to a few people. A uniform issuing fines would be a quicker and meaningful solution.
I was in the right hand lane a few weeks ago and as usual someone comes down the left hand lane with right indicator flashing. I went round the roundabout and filtered into the left hand lane heading East. The car (Silver Ford Focus) in the left hand lane followed me round and what happened next was brilliant! Police car then pulls over the Silver Ford Focus!! Now it may be for another reason but I do hope it was for being in the wrong lane :)
