Over the last few years, Forums and other social media sites have been attacked by spammers. The Angmering Forums have been no exception but I now approve all requests for registration which has minimised those trying to gain access to the Forums for nefarious purposes. This approach seems to be generally effective.
Sometimes I can immediately spot a genuine registrant and approve them straight away, but others are more uncertain. If I am in any doubt, I am inclined to do nothing and, if nobody has contacted me in 7 days, I will delete the application.
For genuine registrants reading this, if you have not been approved within 2 days of applying, contact me (see email address on Angmering Village Life site).
