Nine years ago a letter of mine regarding traffic calming in the village was published in The Littlehampton Gazette. THis was in response to WSCC trumpeting that a combination of the Pinch Points and the 'By-Pass'
had reduced the volume traffic through the village by 55% as compared to volume before construction.
Wonder what that figure would be now as it seems a very high number of vehicles prefer to cut through village rather than use the alternative?
And what will it be once the new residents of the Roundstone Lane developments are added in. They are hardly likeley to go all the way down to the A259 before returning up Roundstone Lane. |
