The Action Group working on behalf of the 'Three Villages' - Barnham, Eastergate and Westergate, have benefited enormously from the support of their respective Parish Councils in their attempts to limit the damage to their communities caused by large-scale development.
Conversely, it would appear that Save Angmering (SAV) has been ploughing a lone furrow. No support whatsoever, not even an agreement, despite numerous attempts, to meet with SAV to sound out possible areas of collaboration.
SAV has no wish to usurp the authority of the Parish Council but, in the absence of any meaningful communication of the Council's current and future intentions, they would seem to be the only vehicle willing to keep villagers abreast of developments.
Why has the Parish Council continuously avoided any meaningful dialogue and can we expect to see a change in this policy in the near future? |
