We have just started up a new group called The Goring Girls.
We are a non-profit making group of women, all over the age of 45, who have got together to enjoy ourselves on days and evenings out. Some of us are by ourselves, and some are married and fancy girly outings, doing things that our husbands may not enjoy.
The men have their pub mates, snooker buddies and squash partners; and now the women have The Goring Girls.
Our proposed outings this year include – meals out, walks along the coast and on the Downs, Quad biking, a beach BBQ, an evening at the Greyhound Stadium, group visits to open gardens and historical buildings, ten pin bowling, cycle rides, clay pigeon shooting, and trips to theatres and events. Our outings are only limited by our imagination.
Each member pays a £5 annual membership fee that covers administrative costs and the women going to each event cover all other expenses individually.
We have a website and forum at www.thegirls.org.uk and we are also exhibiting at the Hobbies and Leisure Exhibition at The Assembly Halls, Worthing on Saturday 6th March.
If you are interested please email me and a few of us can meet up for a coffee or a glass of wine. If you like the idea then maybe you would like to join us. |

| Yes, sorry about the name. We realised our mistake when we were at the hobbies & leisure exhibition in Worthing and we have now changed the name to The Girls. It's open to anyone within a reasonable distance of Worthing. |
