After a long period of deteriorating road surface - potholes and patches, our road was, three months ago, completely resurfaced. And very thankful we were too.
This week we received notification from Southern Water that they intend to carry out "essential repairs" which will involve, you guessed it, digging up the new surface so, when they have finished, we will be returning to a series of patches.
Surely it can't be beyond the wit of the authorities and the utilities to get their act together.
