I don't suppose it could be a simple case of a business failing and there being no plans to replace it with anything else yet ..... just like the bakers in the village? That would be boring I suppose, much better to get the rumours of development going....... with no planning applications or anything in the pipeline.
Dear oh dear.........with all the depression over the weather etc it is obviously getting to some peoples sense of humour.
I am sure Mr Langmead who probably owns or rents half the farming land from here to Chichester, is not hurting that much, and if he reads this will not mind a bit of a laugh at his expense. If he is offended I will be the first to apologise.
If you want to know what Mr Langmead thinks of his precious farmland - see what he is trying to do in Yapton - from the Littlehampton Gazette - "Residents have previously voiced their concerns at the application by the landowner Keith Langmead, raising fears about increased traffic, flooding risk and a lack of facilities. However, Mr Langmead stressed the housing development would be sympathetic to the ‘village-feel’ of Yapton."
