Readers of these Forums will detect a growing suspicion that the Parish Council, on top of its policy of non-communication, is colluding with the Planners to facilitate development in the village. As it's only fair that you be given a further opportunity to refute these suspicions would you please state definitively whether or not the Council supports large scale development and, if so, where is your preferred location?
The Parish Council does not and never has supported large scale developments. The role the Council has to fulfil is to attempt to be at the table when discussions take place about planning applications that are still live and argue the case for infrastructure improvements should permission be granted by Arun. To not take part in these discussions would be to let the residents of Angmering down. In previous developments in our village the Parish Council had no real input to what the planners were intending to undertake. This does not alter the Parish Councils position which is in opposition to any unsustainable development.
