A friend has advised that there has been a recent spate of thefts of metal field gates, one assumes for scrap. They gates were chained but the chains had been treated to bolt cutters.
The prevention recommendation is to either:
a) Weld a piece of metal on the top hinge rod
or for those without a welding set (has not everybody got one lol)
b) Turn the top hinge upside down thus making the gate harder to remove. |
