I am sorry for the prudes of Angmering who do not like my jokes, I am even more sorry for the majority of folk that did seem to enjoy them.
We cannot post anymore anyway, the topic appears to be closed.
The minority win again |

Not sure that is prudent given the problem with the last one.
I am not even sure what the prudes problems were with the other topic. There was no bad language although there was of course innuendo. Re immigration ,I am not racially predudiced but the subject is there in general circulation to be targeted with humour, be it white, black or sky blue pink that is targeted.
Ho hum we shall see!!!!! |

You can certainly start another Jokes topic. The purpose of closing down the other one was to bring to attention that they were starting to go over the top a bit and I have to admit that I was a bit guilty of that myself.
As I have said, perhaps a guide to tastefulness is a joke that you can share with family members. However, it's impossible to lay down any hard and fast rules as the matter is so subjective. |

As you say Neil very subjective....the last jokes topic did say ""not for the easily offended"" which some obviously did not read, and I certainly tell my family my jokes, but they are now part of the older generation. The nature of comedy has changed over the past few years, I for one am not impressed or amused by some of the modern so called comedy programmes, but,I keep my comments to myself or within my family and there is always the zapper (which we can never find) to find something else or switch it off. Likewise if I thought I might be ""Offended"" by "Jokes" then I would not read said topic.
But hey no accounting for folks
Your suggestion about starting another topic will be considered, but not for long...(others may beat me to it, Watch this space). LOL |

well that's a real shame. over 4 years worth of light hearted humour and it's game over! So, I quote from the two Ronnies.....only the other way round...' it's goodnight from him.......and goodnight from me'. |
My glass is always half full....never half empty....what about you?? |
