What on earth is going on at the Parish Council? Have they decided that they will no longer publish their minutes online? The last full council minutes were of their March meeting. As we are about to enter June, what happened to the April and May minutes.

The Council used to have a policy of publishing their minutes within 7 days of a meeting. What happened to that?

After the Council's application as a "Quality Council" was rightly rejected, the Council's quarterly newsletter was dropped. One of the requirements for a Quality Council is that there are regular communications with parishioners using such media as newsletters. Dropping newsletters and non-publishing of the Council's minutes calls into question the openness of the Council. Are they still hiding matters from us?

They're just doing it on purpose to annoy you - I would.

They've been busy! No time for important issues!

The minutes of meeting of the APC Governance & Oversight Committee on 21 November have still not been published. Is this an oversight?

While it may be the Clerk's responsibility, he cannot post the draft minutes until they have approval by the Chairman. The Clerk is a servant of the Council and, even if the minutes have been approved, it is the ultimate responsibility of his boss (the Chairman) to ensure that the minutes and other Council matters have been dealt with expeditiously.

Whilst appreciating DD's comments, is it not the responsibility of the Clerk to ensure minutes are produced and published?
They had to be produced for acceptance at the next meeting, so why no publishing??
Is there something we berks of the general public should be very afraid of??

A wasted opportunity if, under new Chairmanship, no attempt is made by Parish Council to mend its ways. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose?
